Ingredients
Basmati Rice :- 2 cups( boiled)
Lemon juice :- 3 tbsp
Oil :- 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds:- 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida:- a pinch
Fenugreek seeds:- 1/2 tsp
Bengal gram - 3 tbsp
Split black gram skinless ( urad dal) 1 tbsp
Curry leaves:- 10-12
Dry red chillies,broken:- 2
Turmeric powder:- 1/2 tsp
Peanuts:- 1/2 cup
Salt to taste
Lemon juice :- 3 tbsp
Oil :- 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds:- 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida:- a pinch
Fenugreek seeds:- 1/2 tsp
Bengal gram - 3 tbsp
Split black gram skinless ( urad dal) 1 tbsp
Curry leaves:- 10-12
Dry red chillies,broken:- 2
Turmeric powder:- 1/2 tsp
Peanuts:- 1/2 cup
Salt to taste
Methods
Boil the rice and spread over the plate to cool. Dont overcook the rice.
Heat a pan, pour oil and put mustard seed and let it splutter.
Now add asafoetida, fenugreek seeds, channa dal, urad dal, dry red chillies, curry leaves and sauté till the dal turns golden.
Add curry leaves, broken red chillies, turmeric powder and peanuts and continue to sauté.
Add rice and salt and mix. Add lemon juice and mix well.
Cook on low heat till the rice gets heated through.
Garnish with fried red chilli.
Serve hot with raitha / dal, pickle and pappad.
