Rice tempered and flavoured with jeera.This rice is very simple to cook and tastes great.

Ingredients
Basmati rice :- 1 1/2 cups
Cumin seeds :- 2 tsp
Bay leaf :- 1
Black cardamom :- 1
Cinnamon :- 2 ( two inch stick)
Cloves :- 3-4
Ghee :- 1 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste

Methods
Wash basmati rice and soak rice in enough water for 20 minutes.
Drain the rice in strainer and let it dry for few mins.
Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cardamom and cinnamon and cloves.
When cumin seeds crackle, add the rice and salt to taste.
Sauté rice for a minute.
Add three cups of water. Let the water come up to a boil.
Then cover it and reduce the heat to very very low for about 15 mins.
Rice will be done when holes appear on the surface and water has been completely absorbed.
And turn off the heat. Fork the rice out onto a serving dish.
Serve hot with any curry.
