Ingredients
For Vegetable Balls
Cabbage :- 3 cups grated
Carrot :- 1 cup grated
French beans :- 8-10 finely chopped
Spring onions :- 3 finely chopped
Green chilli :- 1 finely chopped
Salt to taste
Refined flour (maida) :- 2 tbsp
Cornflour/ corn starch :- 2 tbsp
Oil to deep fry
For Sauce
Green capsicum :- 1 medium diced
Oil :- 2 tbsp
Ginger :- 1 inch finely chopped
Garlic :- 4-6 cloves finely chopped
Green chillies :- 2 finely chopped
Soy sauce :- 2 tbsp
Sugar :- 1 tsp
MSG :- 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Vegetable stock :- 2 1/2 cups
Cornflour/ corn starch :- 3 tbsp
Vinegar :- 1 tbsp

Cornflour/ corn starch :- 3 tbsp
Vinegar :- 1 tbsp
Methods
For Vegetable Balls
Mix the grated cabbage, carrots and chopped french beans in a bowl and thoroughly rub in 1 teaspoon of salt. Add spring onion, , refined flour and cornflour. Mix thoroughly and shape into lemon sized balls.
Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper and keep aside.
For the sauce
Heat oil in a wok and stir fry the ginger and garlic for half a minute.
Now add diced capsicum and green chillies and stir-fry for half a minute more.
Add soya sauce, sugar, MSG and salt to taste.
Stir in vegetable stock and bring to a boil. Stir in cornflour blended in a cup of water and cook for a couple of minutes or till the sauce starts to thicken, stirring continuously.
Add the fried vegetable balls, vinegar and mix well. Cover the wok for atleast 10- 15 mins so the manchurian ball absorbes in the gravy.
Garnish with spring onions.
Serve hot with fried rice.
