Caramel custard is a dessert with a layer of soft caramel on top, as opposed to custard base The dish is eaten throughout the world.

Ingredients
Sugar :- 1 cup
Milk :- 3 cups
Eggs :- 4
Vanilla essence :- 1 tsp
Milk :- 3 cups

Methods
Take 1/2 cup of sugar in a pan and add a few drops of water and heat till the sugar caramelizes.
Keep it in a mould and let it cool.
Beat eggs and 1/2 cup sugar together. Add vanilla essence and warm milk and mix well.
Pour mixture into the mould which have set caramel.
Add 3-4 cups of water in a pressure cooker and heat.
Cover the mould with aluminium foil and place it in the cooker.
Put the lid of the pressure cooker and steam for 20 -30 mins.Do not use the whistle.
Turn it on a plate. It drops easily.
Serve either hot or cold.
