Aloo Pakora is a popular Indian snack. Its a deep fried potato in chickpea flour with different spices.

Ingredients
Potatoes :- 2 -3 large
Besan (chickpea flour) :- 75-100 gms
Rice Flour :- 1tbsp
Onion :- 1 chopped
Curry Leaves :- 1 sprig [chopped]
Red Chilli Powder :- 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder :- 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds :- ½ tsp
Cooking Soda :- 1/4 tsp
Chaat masala :- 1tsp
Salt to taste
Oil – To deep fry
Water - 200 ml
Besan (chickpea flour) :- 75-100 gms
Rice Flour :- 1tbsp
Onion :- 1 chopped
Curry Leaves :- 1 sprig [chopped]
Red Chilli Powder :- 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder :- 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds :- ½ tsp
Cooking Soda :- 1/4 tsp
Chaat masala :- 1tsp
Salt to taste
Oil – To deep fry
Water - 200 ml
Methods
Peel, wash and dice potatoes into small cubes around 1cm each.
Make a thick batter with water, flours, red chilli powder, cumin, turmeric, salt and cooking soda. Cover and keep aside for about 20 minutes.
Now add diced potato,onion and curry leaves.
Take a deep frying pan and pour oil. Let the oil heat for a while.
By using hand, scoop around 4-5 pieces of potato for one pakora and deep fry.
Fry as many slices as will float on the surface of the oil without touching.
Fry on both sides until reddish gray and crisp. Pakoras will take about 4 to 5 minutes to cook.
Now take them out on a plate and prepare more pakoras from the mixture.
Aloo Pakoras are ready.
Sprinkle chaat masala above all pakodas.
Serve hot with ketchup, green chutney or just with hot tea/coffee.
