Ingredients
Milk : - 1 litre/5 cups
Apple : - 400 grams(2 apples of medium size)
Sugar : - 75 grams(1/3 cup)
Cashew nut: - 10-12
Raisin :- 15-20
Pistachio: - 7-8
Elaichi(cardamom): - 4-5

Methods
Boil milk in a thick bottom pan and simmer till it thickens. Stir milk using the spoon regularly to avoid it from sticking to the base of the pan.
Meanwhile grate the apples without peeling them.
Heat another pan and add the grated apples, cook on medium heat for about 10-15 minutes.
Add ½ cup sugar to apple and stir till sugar melts & continue to cook till most of the moisture evaporates. Keep stirring or apple/sugar will stick to pan and get brownish.
Then add some of the hot reduced milk to this pan. It will curdle, still keep stirring. Keep adding some milk gradually. Keep stirring. Cooking till kheer thickens some more on medium heat.
Add cardamom powder, almonds, pistachios, cashews, raisin, stir and cook.
Garnish with almonds.
Serve hot or cold.
